Start Your First Course

Goal: Begin learning by starting a course in a community.

Steps:

1. Navigate to Classroom

   • Go to a community you're a member of
   • Click the "Classroom" tab
   • You'll see all available courses

2. Choose a Course

   • Browse the course cards
   • Read course titles and descriptions
   • Check progress bars (if you've started any)
   • Click on a course that interests you

3. View Course Details

   • You'll see the Course Detail page
   • Review the course structure in the left sidebar
   • See units and lessons listed
   • Check the overall progress bar at the top

4. Start the First Lesson

   • Click on the first lesson in the sidebar
   • The lesson opens in the main content area
   • You'll see:
     • Lesson title
     • Video player (if video content)
     • Lesson text content
     • Resources section

5. Complete the Lesson

   • Watch any video content
   • Read through the lesson text
   • Review any resources provided
   • Click "Mark lesson as complete" when finished
   • Tip: Take your time to understand the content

6. Continue to Next Lesson

   • Click "Next Lesson" button
   • Or select the next lesson from the sidebar
   • Repeat the process for each lesson

7. Track Your Progress

   • Watch the progress bar at the top
   • It shows your overall course completion percentage
   • Complete all lessons to finish the course

Time Required: Varies by course (typically 10-30 minutes per lesson)
Result: You're actively learning and earning points for your progress
